Our vision
In the near future, extrusion will be a self-adaptive process that will require more specific human control actions. The system as a whole will learn and use new information to manage the line and stabilise tube quality. Controlling each independent element of the line will then be essential to controlling the entire synchronised process.
Adjustments will be triggered by objective information, exploited by calculation systems based on science and experience. The operator will be involved in monitoring and safety, and will contribute their expertise during the machine’s learning process.

Extrugene develops and manufactures tube extrusion equipment for the demanding medical, automotive and chemical markets. The quality and productivity criteria of players in the specialty extrusion industry are constantly evolving, and equipment must also advance in an environment that takes into account social expectations (lines that are easier to operate and maintain), reduced energy consumption, changing standards (limiting pollution and biological risks) and process control.

Our history
EXTRUGENE was born from the meeting of two passionate experts: Franck Gérard and Marc Tourte. With complementary backgrounds in R&D, industrialisation and the production of tubes and profiles, they have worked in demanding sectors such as automotive, energy, medical, industry and construction.
After several years of corporate experience, they each chose to set up their own consulting businesses, with the mission of supporting manufacturers in optimising processes, resolving production issues and developing internal skills.
Their collaboration on numerous projects revealed a natural complementarity. Faced with specific customer needs – often not met by the market – requiring tailor-made technical solutions, they decided to design their own equipment.
This is how EXTRUGENE was born: an innovative company dedicated to industrial performance.
